Zoo Friends Day

Dave and I have always loved our zoo here in St. Louis (one of the best in the country--and it's free!), so we decided several years ago to get a Zoo Friends membership. It's especially worth it now that we have the boys because they really enjoy going as well. Every year, the zoo holds a Zoo Friends Day, which entitles all members to free rides on the carousel, free admission to the Children's Zoo, free animal shows, free parking, etc. Many times, it also provides an opportunity for members to see a new animal exhibit before it becomes open to the public. This year, the Stingrays at Carribean Cove were the animals to see--although, by the time we arrived, the line was about a 1.5-hour wait. The exhibit is open until September, so we talked Tyler into waiting until the next time we go to the zoo, which I'm sure will be soon. :)

The boys like to wave to the people on the Zoo train as it passes by.

Fun on the carousel!
