Christmas with The Lunning's

We had a great time celebrating the holiday with Dave's side of the family today. His sister, Debbie, her husband, Dave, and their daughters, Taylor & Brenna drove down from Aurora to spend the weekend with us. The kids always have the best time together and really enjoyed opening their gifts.

A Fun Ice Skating Adventure

Today, we took Tyler and Taylor ice skating at the U.S. Ice Sports Complex in Fairview. Taylor is an "old pro," but this was Tyler's first time. Luckily, they had little "walkers" for kids to use, which made it easier for him to get around on the ice, especially since Dave and I wouldn't have really been much help. Neither of us has been ice skating in years! Dave's sister, Debbie, and her husband, Dave, are pretty good at it, so while they skated with the kids, Dave went round and round the rink hugging the wall and I did what I do best--took pictures. :)

Ummmm.....someone is definitely cheating here!

Christmas Celebration #3

Today, we celebrated Christmas with my dad, Connie, and Mallory. Kay and Aaron were also able to drive back from Carbondale. It was a fun afternoon/evening!

Ho Ho Ho!

Tyler was so excited when he saw that Santa (and the reindeer) totally wiped out the snacks that he left out for them. And even more ecstatic about the note that Santa wrote to him. :)

Santa brought the boys lots of cool stuff this year!

'Twas the Night Before Christmas.....

We've left snacks out for Santa every year since Tyler was born, but this was the first year that HE requested that we do it. He even wanted to include carrot bites for Rudolph and the other "reindeers." Considering the array of cookies that await Santa, he's going to have to do some serious brushing/flossing when he gets back to the North Pole!

Creating a plate of tasty treats for Santa

Tyler said that "reindeers" like carrots, too--not just sweets!

Hope Santa's hungry. :)

Christmas Eve

We had a lot of fun celebrating Christmas with my mom, step-dad, and the rest of the gang. The boys got tons of cute stuff and we were glad that my little sis, Kayla and her husband, Aaron, were able to drive up from Carbondale so that we could celebrate Little Ava's first Christmas with them.

Tyler can't wait to dig into his presents!

He was very excited about his Clone Wars PJ's from Aunt Kay-Kay and Uncle Aaron.

Connor sleeps with his new Pound Puppy every night and takes it with us everywhere we go.

Santa stop here!

Someone is really worried that Santa Claus might miss (or skip!) our house this year. :)
Tyler insisted on putting stop signs on both of his bedroom windows--one just wasn't going to cut it!

School Christmas Party

Preparing favor bags for the class Christmas Party tomorrow!
For whatever reason, Connor really seemed to like this particular Santa. Maybe the jingle bells on the ends of his sleeves had something to do with it. :)

School Christmas Party

Tyler's class, known as the "Zebras," took a 2-minute break from their class party to pose for a group picture.

Connor's class, The Pandas, hung their stockings over this cute fireplace that the class teachers made.
