Tyler has really become good buddies with Coach Dave's son, Spencer. He talks about him a lot and they're always excited to see each other at soccer on Saturdays. After practice today, Tyler invited Spencer to join us at The Home Depot Kids Workshop. They enjoyed building their Mother's Day projects together, which turned out to be really cute. Afterward, we had to run home because Dave had to hop on a conference call for work. Tyler was really bummed that we couldn't eat lunch with Spencer and his family, so I called Molly (his mom) that afternoon and suggested that we all meet for dinner. I'm glad that I did because it ended up being lot of fun. We had pizza at Papa Vito's, then headed to the park so that the kids could finish wearing themselves out. :) Combined with the beautiful weather, it was an awesome day!
Oh, and an added bonus: we found out last week that Dave is also going to be coaching Tyler's t-ball team in June. Yay!!

The boys were very proud of their projects!

Molly and I with our little woodworkers!
The slide is Connor's favorite. Tyler is still trying to master the monkey bars on his own. ;)
Connor and Abby (Spencer's sister) making music together!
Tyler and Spencer get along great!
Connor spotted some ducks in the pond next to the park and wanted Daddy to get a closer look with him.
